My Favorite Dreamcast Soundtracks!!
My Dreamcast History:
I don't know how old I was when I actually saw my first dreamcast but it might have been as late as highschool. I was aware of the dreamcast when I was younger but I didn't know anyone that had one. Though I see this as a good thing.
The dreamcast is a console that I don't have any nostalgia or bias for, besides me being a Sega guy in general. It's the one mainstream retro console that I can play and it be completely new to me, and I don't think I could have picked a better console to experience as an early adult.
Unlike my other consoles, I don't have a pre-existing library of games from when I was growing up so I will have to buy the games I really want. With prices the way they are today a lot of the games I want for the Dreamcast are a little bit of an investment and pushing the limit for what I would pay for any game.
I would really like to buy Sonic Adventure 2 but its in the triple digits on ebay, and that is a whole lot to pay for a game that I have read is shorter than Sonic Adventure 1. I did buy Skies of Arcadia though. Which stands as the highest price I have ever paid for a video game.
I really really enjoy the great games I do have for Dreamcast. Shenmue is awesome and I think Phantasy Star Online is really cool. I have put about 50 hours into PSO on a fanmade server using the old Japanese PC version. I want to get my Dreamcast online just to put 50 more hours in.
I may be able to play a few other games online if I can catch a group of people who have scheduled to play. Honestly just playing PSO on an actual Dreamcast with other players would be worth it alone to me. The original PC version is actually the same patch level as dreamcast and can play on their servers. Many people that I played with said they were on Dreamcast and I would love to join them some day.
