My Sega Saturn History

When I was growing up I didnt have a Saturn, I'm not even sure when I found out what one was. I had always bought older games because it's what I had, but when I was in highschool I took an interest into finding out what was out there. I did get a saturn in late 2013, though being that I was still in highschool I couldn't afford the games that I wanted. The Saturn has always been a little on the expensive side for me. I only bought a few games, the four american games I still have now. For years the only game worth getting the Saturn out for was Galactic Attack and I didn't play that very often. Recently I got back into older video games and I wanted to flesh out my Saturn library. The prices have risen so much that it doesn't seem worth it to buy American Saturn games to me. In late December 2021 and early January 2022 I decided to give up buying american releases for the Saturn and switch to Japanese imports from then on. I've always wanted an import library and the Saturn has historically been a popular system to import so I decided to indulge myself. The Saturn does have a lot of Japan only exclusives and the prices on Japanese games in general makes a lot more sense. I do not read or speak Japanese but that hasn't had a negative impact on the majority of games, though there are some games I will not be able to play though english guides do exist online for some. I might do a playthrough of a game while I follow a translation guide and post about it.
